General Service - £45

 

The general service is your more thorough service that should be undertaken once per year or every 1500 miles, whichever is sooner. We look at getting the gears and brakes in the best working order, replacing any worn out, corroded or damaged parts as necessary (cost of parts not included). These include:

  • Chain, cassette, chainrings
  • Bottom bracket bearings,
  • Gear/brake cables
  • Brake pads
  • Spokes
  • Derailleurs
  • Tyres

But does not include the folowing due to time constraints:

  • Headset
  • Wheel bearings
  • Rims

The following will also be caried out:

  • Wheels trued
  • Gears adjusted and tuned
  • Brakes adjusted and pads checked for wear
  • Brake pivots greased (if applicable)
  • Rear mech hanger checked and straightened
  • All bearings checked and adjusted – including wheels, headset, bottom bracket and rear suspension if applicable
  • All moving parts checked and lubricated
  • Drive train degreased (if not worn beyond recommended limit)
  • Full safety check
    • All nuts and bolts checked for tightness  
    • Frame and forks visually checked
    • Tyres and wheels inspected for damage
    • Cables checked for wear
    • Bike is test ridden

You are essentially paying for an hour of labour, but we allow upto 75 mins. If your bike is in great condition and all the above has been addressed, then we will carry out further adjustments upto the allowed time limit for no further cost.
